Cover Drafts and Final Cover

Draft One:

The colour scheme is really consistent on this draft but the kickers are really simple and there are no cover lines. I like the font which I have used on the kickers and the one cover line as it is consistent. The headline looks too much like a poster and not like a magazine and this needed to be improved.

Draft Two:

I really like the way I have changed the headline dramatically to the black and faded white to achieve a more magazine-look. I have kept the colour scheme the same but added cover lines underneath each kicker to give the magazine more features and to look more busy. The top right of the page is too empty and needed to be improved.

Draft Three:

I have kept most things the same from the previous draft but added the top right hand corner feature as a secondary lead and another image. I like the image I have used as it is varying the artists on the page and giving the magazine more interesting features. I used the faded white box behind the text to keep the theme consistent. I hadn't included my tag line at this point.

Final Draft:

Everything has been kept the same on the final draft from the previous one apart from the issue number and date has been moved to the bottom of the page to leave space for the tag line which is keeping the same colour scheme to make sure my cover is iconic.
